For me it is the combination of a genuinely caring service and a welcoming, user friendly building. The website is great: building on that I think we need to permanently showcase the positive work we do as a community, in the surgery so more people have the chance to see the good work, participate and feel/be included. I see the 'community' as being all stakeholders in the practice, l.e. including patients, staff, volunteers etc. I think it means a cultural shift that the wider medical profession and it's users are maybe not quite ready to entertain but I think if we want to shift from a patriarchal medical culture to a culture of greater self responsibility for our health, then it needs to happen. I envisage a holistic medical community noticeboard in the main reception area populated by anyone involved in the practice including users. I do not know who would have the time and resources to manage this, maybe the PPg.

I have been coming to this practice for years and I have always received fantastic care. The staff are professional and approachable and I feel comfortable using this service. I do not live in the area but that does not concern me, I am happy to travel that bit extra because I know that I will be looked after!

Friendly and prompt service. A clear and concise discussion with the GP, offering advice but leaving me very much in the driving seat as far as treatment and medication are concerned. Very helpful and welcoming reception staff.

I have had very positive experiences over the past few years at this practice. It would be very easy to suggest constructive feedback regarding appointment availability, however I have found when I am in immediate need of care, support from a GP has been accessible via the telephone which could potentially be the way forward provided the patient didn't require a physical examination.

Absolutely ridiculous. I usually go to the walk in centre because I know how difficult is is to get an appointment at Pitsmoor surgery. I was told if my ailment didn't clear up in a week to go and see my GP. As my symptoms didn't clear up I phoned to make an appointment and was told I could be seen in January!!! 2 months away! WHAT A JOKE! Last time I tried it was three weeks! It just gets worse. I know this is a 'demanding area' but that has been known for a while; the real question is 'What is being done about it?!'
